I live in Chicago, Illinois, USA, with three bicycles, an elm tree named Sheela Na Gig, and a big ‘ol ginger cat named Butter. In the midst of the metropolis I seek for the wild richness of the edges – the bounty of edible ‘weeds’ in empty lots, the sparkling delight and generosity of urban feyfolk, conversation with trees that have watched the city spring up around them.

My life up to this point has been a process of re/membering who I am, and I work toward integration of my many facets of self. I feel that my work lies as much in the how I do things as in the what I do – dreamwork, making furniture, riding my bike, cooking, teaching, loving, singing ecstatically, sitting, stretching, landscaping, eating well, sewing, sleeping well, flossing.

I am excited to be a part of Avalon Camp this spring and am looking forward to exploring what food means to each of us as individuals and as a community, and how the experience connects us to the webs of life, death, money, industry, and the earth.
